Today marks the 37 National Day in the UAE and is a public holiday. Huge celebrations are going to take place across the UAE culminating in a giant fireworks display in Abu Dhabi. Sadly I won’t be there to witness it but I hope to see coverage of it on the news.
As usual the cars are highly decorated in the UAE colors and flags – I was amazed to see a car this morning actually spray painted in celebatory colors.
For me it is a nice diversion from the usual fast placed life in Dubai and I enjoyed open air breakfast at the popular walk at the JBR. It was a nice time to reflect on the newest addition to my family – my nephew Alex was born 26th November 2008, 53cm and 3.75kg. I am so proud to be an uncle again.
