Friday Brunch
Weekends in Dubai start on Thursday nights, and it has almost become a tradition for restaurants to put on an all-you-can-eat-and-drink brunch at Friday lunchtime. The various establishments battle for which can put on display the most elaborate array of dishes and beverages, and the choices can at times bewilder you. The very top-end buffets put others I have been to in Las Vegas or Asia to shame, but you can get by spending far less and still walk away satiated. Insider tip: The brunch at the Al Qasr Hotel or Bubblicious at the Westin Hotel score highest for high-falutin dining, with more relaxed affairs at the either the Shangri La or Spectrum on One at the Fairmont Hotel. All of these get popular, so book early.

A good list above. My family had booked for the Burj Khalifa view mid-February but that’s when they temporarily closed it for some maintenance works. They just reopened, and hopefully we could ride that elevator up soon =)

Try one of the hotels located in “Downtown” and check out the Dubai fountain. Well worth a visit.

Myself forget everything while sitting in the Historical village in Burdubai watching the Buffalo near an old styled well. Sometimes i can see that village man irrigating his small farm land there. Sometimes some kind of small birds came to me and wished to play with me. hmmm … As if I’m going back to my place: parakkav (which was so in years back)…

Spend much more time in Abu Dhabi now. AD is less hectic than Dubai and good to see more attractions opening up. I also enjoy less high rise.
The Grand Prix this weekend will be exciting but very expensive. However it is a sell out which is good for the economy.
