Merry Christmas

For the second year I get to spend Christmas in Dubai with my family. It is a quite time on the roads and shops with lots of expat headed to colder climbs for the Christmas and New Year festivities.

Sadly, no let up for me as this the busiest time of year at work. This has impacted a little on my blogging and I have lots of things to cover as December has been a fun month with the rugby sevens and the killers being particular highlights as well numerous other Dubai treats. So watch out for these posts in the new year.

Earlier in the week while villa hunting for one of my colleagues we drove around the lakes (a villa community in Dubai) I was pleased to see some people really getting into the Christmas spirit:

In the meanwhile I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

  1. Happy Christmas Aaron! Hope you’re stuffing your face at a Christmas brunch like the rest of us!

  2. I really enjoy looking at the pics’ you have been adding on your twitter page, very entertaining. Just a little envious of the sun and sand in Dubai, unfortunately stuck in England . How long is the indoor ski slope in Dubai? The indoor slope at Manchester is 180m long, the best indoor ski facility in Britain. Are you a ski or snowboarder? It must be incredible in the summer walking from the heat of the desert to the chill of the ski centre, all adds to the fun.
Really enjoy reading your blog and following you on twitter, keep adding the pics’.
    Mat.

  3. @Natualie – too much stuffing myself and now I am feeling a little unwell!

@Mat Glad you are liking the twitter pics! Sadly I don’t ski but lots of my mates learned how at Ski Dubai. The longest run is 400m so you can get a pretty good ride.
