Sleeping on the Job

I stepped out of the office last week to be greeted by a couple of guys enjoying their lunch break while taking on board a quick snooze. The human body is easily adaptable to being able to sleep anywhere (even onboard a 777 sat bolt up right). However I am not sure that some plywood for a mattress and a piece of 2×4 for a pillow would be my choice of bedding:

I was a little more concerned for another guy who was using some plastic sheeting as a duvet. I thought he was dead for a minute – but thankfully he was just getting comfortable…

I can only suppose if I was working six days a week, 14 hours a day, sharing a room with nine other guys for a few hundred dollars a month – I too would take opportunity to sleep when I could.

I read somewhere that at the peak of its construction the Burj Dubai was rising at the rate of a new floor every four days. In that case why has taken more than six months to rebuild the road outside the front of the office?
